優騎達が水族館へ行った日。
絋斗が部活から寮に帰ると何かいつもと違う気がした。

その違いはすぐに解った。
今日は普段よりもずっと静かなのだ。

「いつもはうるさいって思うくせに静かになると寂しいって……」

自分のわがままな気持ちに苦笑し、絋斗は自室にバックを置いてジャージから私服に着替える。

その最中、絋斗はふと思った。
自分が寮に帰ってきて誰も居ないなんて初めてじゃないか……と。

「あー、らしくない事思ってしまった……」

絋斗は着替え終わり、時刻もちょうど良いので昼ご飯にするかと部屋を出る。

「確か、優騎がサンドイッチを作っておくとか言ってたっけ……」

飲み物は確か、牛乳があったはずだ。
それで今日の昼は決まりだなと料理上手な友人に感謝しながら絋斗はリビングの扉を開いた。

「…………もぐもぐ」

「――――え？」

あまりにも驚いて絋斗の口から変な声が出てしまった。

そして気付く、そう言えば桜も自分と同じく今日も部活に行っていた事に……。

「……いつ帰ってきた」

「……さっき」

ごくんと桜は咀嚼していたものを飲み込み、絋斗はそれが先程言ったサンドイッチだと気付いた時には最後の１つを桜が口に入れてしまっていた。

「…………マジか」

結局、その日の彼の昼ご飯はコンビニ弁当になった。
