右を見ても鱧、左を見ても鱧。
ハモ水族館に入ってすぐの光景がこれだよ……。

「ハモがいっぱい居るな」

「ああ、いっぱい居るな」

優騎と蓮の２人はすでに鱧を見飽き、優騎はパンフレットで他の生物は何処なのか探していた。

そんな少年達とは逆に少女達は右を見ては騒ぎ、左を見ては喜ぶ。

「あんなに喜ばれると連れてきて良かったって思うよね」

「俺達も楽しめれば、なお良かったんだけどな」

優騎と蓮が２人して苦笑し、再び優騎はパンフレットを見ようとすると先に行っていた亜由美が駆け足で２人の元に寄ってきた。

「２人とも、この先で鳥が歩いてるよ！」

「「鳥？」」

水族館なんだからペンギンくらい居るだろと思いながら２人は亜由美に手をとられ引かれる様にその鳥の居る場所へと連れていかれる。

「ユウ兄、早くきて！」

「てちてち歩いてるよ〜」

「「―――鴨が」」

「「ここは水族館じゃなかったけ！？」」

確かに鳥だな、しかし鴨って水族館に居ただろうか……。
優騎は頭に手をあて記憶をたどる。
結果、鴨は動物園だろという答えにたどり着いた。


それから水族館を一通り見終わる頃には時刻はとっくに正午を過ぎていた。
