選択科目は1日に2時間連続で行われる。
特に3時間目と4時間目に行われる事が多く、調理実習の場合は"出来た物を昼食として食べるため弁当を作る量が減って楽ができる"
なんて始めは優騎も思っていたが結局他の人のも作らなくてはならないため、楽にはならなかった。

さて、今現在やっている調理実習はどうかというと……。

「唐揚げは二度揚げして余熱で火を通す。そうすると冷めてもサクサクして肉もパサパサしないんだ」

唐揚げを二度揚げしながら優騎は二度揚げしている理由を少女達に教える。

授業始まって30分でプリンを作り終え、すぐに米をとぎ炊飯器にセットし終えた優騎の班は他の班より早くに唐揚げ作りに入っていた。

「先輩、手慣れてますね？」

唐揚げの油をきりながら頷き、優騎は次にする事を考える。

そこへ、相方に仕事を全て投げ捨ててきた亜由美があらわれた。
