「―――よ！――起きなよユウ君！」

ある日、自分を呼ぶ声と一定のリズムで身体を揺すられる感覚に優騎は目を開いた。

「……ん」

起きたばかりの視界はぼやけていて頭がうまく回らない。
どうやら優騎は学園から帰ってきてすぐにリビングのソファーで寝てしまっていたらしい。

「……風華か？」

「やっと起きた……」

変な体勢でソファーに寝ていたせいか、身体中が痛い。

「……今、何時だ」

優騎はゆっくりと身体を起こし、まだぼやける視界を治そうと瞬きを数回してソファーの傍に座る風華に聞いた。

時間によっては夕食の支度をしなければならないし、もしかしたらそんな時間はとっくに過ぎているかもしれないからだ。

「大丈夫、まだ17時になったばかりだよ」

優騎は安堵し、立ち上がって背をのばす。
節々がパキパキと鳴り、ようやくいつもの優騎に戻った。

「さてと、夕食の準備を始めるとするか」

制服のまま寝ていたためしわの出来てしまったブレザーを調理で汚さないように脱ぎ、元々緩くしていたネクタイもブレザーと一緒に椅子の背にかけ、キッチンに向かう。

「風華、起こしてくれてありがとな」

「え？あ、うん。どういたしまして」

夕食の献立を考えながら彼女を見ずに言った優騎の何気ない感謝の台詞に彼女が照れくさくて紅くなっているのを優騎は知らない。
