「なんかさ、暇だよね」

「俺は絶賛勉強中なんだが……」

放課後、今日は特に買う物もなく早めに寮へ帰ってきていた優騎に対して彼よりも早く寮に居た蓮がぐでっとしながら言ってきた。

「勉強なんてあとでも出来るじゃん」

「まぁ、そうだが……」

「だから――「断る！」

「せめて最後まで聞いてくれよ！？」

優騎は手を止めることなく蓮と会話をし、一区切りついたのかペンを置き、ぐるぐると右肩を回した。

「……ココナッツサイダー」

「お前、それ本当に好きだな」

優騎が立ち上がり冷蔵庫に向かう姿をみて、先ほどの会話で満足した蓮を椅子にもたれかかりながら呟く。

「何だよ亜由美といい蓮といい、別に良いだろ好きなんだから」

それにこれは新商品『ココナッツサイダーEX』だと優騎は言う。

何がEXなのだろう……。
蓮は少しだけその事に怖くなった。

優騎はそのサイダー缶を片手に元の席に戻ると再び、問題を解きだした。

「そう言えば、何の宿題してんだ？」

「英語、明日の授業であたるんだよ」

優騎や蓮を含み2年生の英語を担当している教師は毎回、席順に何人かの生徒を指名して問題を答えさせている。
で、明日は優騎が当たる番なのだ。

ちなみに―――――

「ユウくん！宿題写させてー!！」

今日の席替えによって後ろの席になった風華もその順番になっている。
