ゴールデンウィーク2日目。蓮達5人は電車に乗っていた。

「あれだけ遠出しないとか言ったくせに……」

蓮は小さな声で右隣で自分と同じ様につり革につかまる優騎を睨む。

「貰っちゃったんだからしょうがないだろ」

優騎はそう言ってため息をついた。

事の発端はゴールデンウィーク前のあの日。
全員が予定無しと言った後、苺も食べ終え各々が部屋に戻る時に刻也が優騎に言った。

「優騎君、これ渡しておくね」

「何ですか……？」

刻也が差し出してきたのは5枚のチケットと何処かのパンフレットだった。
そのパンフレットには"ハモ水族館"と書かれている。
表紙には魚の鱧だよな、これ……。

「行きたくない名前ですね」

「はっきり言うね……」

刻也は笑いながらそのチケットを優騎に無理やり押し付ける。
刻也の話によれば知人に貰ったらしく、自分は行けないからと、何ともベタな事を言っていた。

「ハモ水族館って鱧しかいないんじゃないか？」

「パンフによれば他の生物もいるらしいぞ。鱧メインだけど」

一応は普通の水族館なのかと蓮はほっとした。

「ハモアイスってあるよ、2人共食べよ」

「何か小骨とか入ってそうなアイスだね」

「橘先輩、私は遠慮しときます」

男2人がつり革につかまる対面の席には亜由美、風華、マユの3人が座りパンフレットを見ていた。

「ハモ氷だって、ハモを凍らせて――」

なかなかチャレンジャーなメニューだな。
優騎は口には出さずツッコミ、窓の外を眺める。

目的地に着くのはもう少し時間がかかりそうだった。
