始業式の少し前。
自己紹介しか無かったＨＲも終わり、一段落する優騎の前に席は離れているはずの風華がいた。

「寮の皆バラバラになったね」

「ああ……」

学年の違う刻也とマユをのぞく6人は2年生。
去年は風華と蓮の2人以外は同じクラスだったのだが、今年はものの見事にバラバラになってしまった。

優騎と風華は2-A
絋斗と桜、亜由美の3人は2-B
そして―――

「……ひとりぼっち」

蓮は１人2-Dだ。

まあ、１人と言っても選択科目は全クラス合同だし一緒になる事くらい――

家庭科、 優騎、風華、亜由美。
音楽、 絋斗、桜。
美術、 蓮。

なんて無かった。


「バラバラなんて言っても寮は一緒なんだから変わらないだろ……」

優騎は自己紹介で疲れたのかぐったりとしながら言う。

「それもそっか」

逆に風華は元気でワクワクしているように見える。

風華は社交的だからなと、優騎は気付かれないようにため息を吐く。

寮内では普通な天使優騎、彼は風華の様に社交的な方ではない。
だから去年は友人作りは大変苦労したというのに……。

(今年のクラス、知ってる奴ほとんど居ないな……)

今年も大変苦労しそうな予感にもう一度ため息を吐いた。
